  At we buy any car we were advised the "Guaranteed" price could not in fact be offered because the Car which we had owned from new had only its original Blue log book. The buyer stated "the DVLA had issued every car owner with a new Red log book without which they must discount thier offfer by £200.00. That this is WE BUY any cars policy is not an issue. However the statement is not correct, the DVLA say
  The DVLA completed the automatic roll out in 2012. The new style red document was automatically issued when:
  
  a vehicle was registered for the first time
  an application was made for changes to an existing registration, such as a change of keeper or address
  a vehicle was taxed or declared off the road
  
  In summary not every car owner has been sent a Red log book, furthermore It is now encouraging the keepers of any vehicles who still have an old style blue V5C to replace it with new a red V5C free of charge.
  
  As a professional organisation looking to be trusted you would expect WE BUY ANY CAR to have full knowledge of the facts and advise accordingly rather than reduce their offer by £200.00 for an item they will receive for the cost of a phone call as soon as they own the vehicle
